I always stand up for what I believe in and what is right even if it means standing alone...In life standing up for your rights is never easy but it is very important to embark on this Long and difficult path to enforce and protect your individual and consumer rights.We all must be aware of our rights.In exercising our rights are we truly free individuals.

I have won many long customer battles against Banks,Phone Companies, Airlines, Electronics Companies etc. I have devoted time and energy to demand positive resolutions for myself and people around me. I hate it when one is denied what every customer has a right to...and that is when I find it important to address it and complain about it. I know it takes time to escalate matters but somehow I prefer to address it no matter what. Having lived in America for sometime, I give a lot of importance to Individual Rights.

It is my nephew who inspired me to write this blog. He felt the importance of his rights and the need to address this subject in a blog very early in age when he was unhappy with the services of a certain Airline. It was then that he suggested that I should write a blog concerning such matters too.

Everyone has certain rights but we are usually not informed about them or do not exercise them. We have a right to be heard...and we must never forget that. There is One Right for All and None should be discriminated. One has the right to question and a right to information. With growing middle class touch 400 million and consumerism, Indian Companies need to become responsive to Consumer complaints and grievances. Ignoring such complaints could lead to big financial losses for the company on consumer complaints being upheld by Consumer Courts.

In this blog, I would like us to share our knowledge about how best to address our complaints effectively as a customer or consumer. It is also important to inform people about the poor customer services provided by reputed brand names. But I would also like to hi-light the names of companies and brands who have co-operated with customers and given positive responses. Please do share your experiences too.

You do not win every battle in life but you learn lessons from it and hopefully live to win it some day. Through this blog ,I would like to inspire people to stand up for their rights and if needed fight for it but the fight for your rights has to be fair and honest. I aim to create a direction and awareness for people who are not given their due rights as an individual first and then as a consumer. There are always solutions and there are way to reach those solutions or alternatives as customers through proper channels.

Whenever you have been able to get your rights heard, you should generously share that knowledge as how best to achieve that so that others could follow that too. Pay it forward ! We should share knowledge and in doing so we will learn more from each other. Alone you can stand up for your rights but with people behind you and with you , there will be more force in it and consumers and customers will not be taken for granted. United we stand in getting value for our hard earned money...United we stand in ensuring we get good customer service.

When there is a will there is a way. When you stand up for your rights and for others , somebody will listen to you sooner or later. Your voice will be heard ! But for that you have to speak out ! Silence can sometimes be mistaken as weakness or indifference. Always know your rights and request for those rights to be implemented but if they are not then demand that justice be served.

Haldiram Sweets-Manager’s professionalism worth complimenting !

 Good managers are an asset to their companies. The reputation of a company rests not only on the quality of their products but also on the professionalism of the people that represent that company. 

Not every company is equipped to effectively handle complaints and resolve issues that may negatively impact their image. Not every company is represented by professional people who realize the importance of timely resolution of complaints and immediate follow up on complaints. 

 In handling escalated complaints, a manager must be empathetic to start with. Body language, tone of voice and attitude to matter when dealing with complaints of consumers. 

My compliments to the Haldiram manger Prachi who successfully resolved the escalated complaint concerning the box of stale sweets. She was very professional and exceeded the customer’s expectation as well as restored trust in the customer service of Haldiram. She demonstrated that her company  values customers.Such people are definitely an asset to their companies. 

My family regularly buys sweets from Halidiram and in fact buys numerous boxes of sweets to take abroad too. But lately we were not satisfied with the quality of their sweets as they were not as fresh as they used to be. We also realized that there was a decline in their approach to customers. 

Recently my parents bought a box of their famous chocolate burfis but on returning home it was discovered that the sweets were stale and discolored probably because it was pre-packed from the factory in a transparent plastic box instead of their usual in-store green cardboard box meant for fresh sweets. My parents wondered if they should return to Haldiram to complain about this and were initially reluctant to do so as every experience has not been that great with them . In the past , many times at the order counter they would pack the sweets in the wrong box despite requesting and paying for a particular box. That probably happened because they wanted to sell their pre packed boxes. I think that they might have vendors who provide sweets for the pre packed boxes because the sweets in those boxes are not as fresh and delicious as their sweets. They denied that though. 

As a long time Haldiram customer, we are well aware of the taste of their original mithai (sweets.). Anyway, finally the box of stale sweets was taken to Haldiram for it to be examined and to order a lab test particularly because it caused food poisoning. At first it was difficult to access the manager, but finally the manager was called. 

What is worth complimenting is that the manager immediately took responsibility and expressed a sense of accountability in the entire matter. In restoring the trust of the customers, she even went forward to genuinely assure the customer that henceforward she would personally see to it that the customer receives fresh sweets and she also ordered new sweets to replace the stale ones. Such managers need to be praised and recognized for the excellent and refined customer service they provide to their customers to make them feel valued. My mother came back as a satisfied customer and her trust was renewed in their excellent customer service. She even took photos of the fresh mithai and the beautifully packed box to share it with me. :)

To add to it, they added a personal touch by beautifully packing the box of sweets and for that the credit goes to Yogesh too. 

All’s well that ends well . The manger at Halidiram saved the day and managed to effectively and positively address the issue. 

In the past, when my mother badly slipped at the Halidiram store due to their not cleaning some liquid on the floor, the manager only called to ask how she was doing but didn’t do much. But the present manager at Halidiram (Spice Mall) is a kind and responsible manager. She takes feedbacks seriously and makes visible efforts to improve their customer service. Now that’s the kind of manager one wants at every company! 

Consumers should always come forward with genuine complaints and possibly support the complaint with evidence so that the companies are given an opportunity to take action. We as consumers hope for positive resolutions to our complaints but in times of negative resolutions, we have a right to stand for our rights as consumers !

CROMA cannot be trusted !

 CROMA cannot be trusted ! 


They sell defective electrical appliances and don’t take responsibility in addressing the issue. 


After sales service & complaint management is pathetic ! My parents bought an IFB dishwasher and Whirlpool fridge from CROMA. Both were defective ! 


After much persistence IFB at least collected the defective dishwasher and refunded our money. But Whirlpool is not even ready to co operate despite their technician having verified the defect. 


In all this CROMA did not take any responsibility at all ! Think twice before buying large electrical appliances from CROMA. Unfortunately they are tarnishing the reputed brand name they represent. Many consumers have similar complaints about them. The joy in buying new electrical appliances is lost when these companies give such unpleasant experiences to the consumers !

Whirlpool India selling defective appliances !

 Now say hello to all your worries as Whirlpool is here to create them ! Do not buy Whirlpool fridges from Whirlpool India or you will regret it ! 


And don’t buy them from CROMA as they sell mostly defective fridges to them. 


They don’t even take a return after their own technician verifies the defect ! Instead they don’t take any action at all ! Instead they try to keep you busy in a war of words so as to delay action so that the guarantee period is over ! 


The entire  time they will adopt delaying tactics by going back and forth. First they will say they will do something and then they will back off and base the negative response on lies. 


Many customers are being treated badly by them when it comes to after sales service. 


Indian consumers be careful when buying any appliances from Whirlpool ! I might start a petition against them very soon based on my research on feedback of consumers.

CROMA

 CROMA CANNOT BE TRUSTED


One should be able to enjoy the electrical appliances one buys but unfortunately that cannot happen when a reputed company like CROMA sells mostly defective appliances particularly fridges & dishwashers to trusting customers. That’s a dishonest way of doing business !

If you have experienced something similar with CROMA, please come forward out here or on twitter. It is high time that consumers come together to stop such harassment . Perhaps we ought to start a petition against them. II have been doing research on the reviews of their customers on twitter and I was surprised to find that many are stuck with the defective appliances CROMA sold them and enduring CROMA’s unprofessional approach in handling their complaints. 

CROMA deliberately adopts delaying tactics in accessing complaints to tire out the customer so that the customer just gives up . But know that we as consumers have rights ! Know your rights ! 

After all we buy appliances to use them but for us to insist that there should be a return is because something is wrong and in our case we got that verified by the technician too ! If the appliances were fine then we as consumers won’t have been sending repeated complaints to CROMA and we would have been enjoying our new purchase. The entire shopping experience results in unpleasantness because of all this. A new appliance shouldn’t have to be repaired or having defects in its initial stages! 

CROMA Noida should realize that if they are supportive and take responsibility of their actions,then they would win over lifelong clients and then consumers would invest in buying more stuff from them or upgrade defective ones sold to them by the very same store. But one cannot expect such professionalism from them. This is the first time my parents bought electrical appliances from CROMA and we are thoroughly disappointed since both the dishwasher and fridge were defective. We reported the matter right away but CROMA did not take any action. On our own we directly contacted the respective companies and after many challenges, we were successful in returning the dishwasher to IFB. 

Fortunately IFB co operated with us in the end but after endless efforts from our side. At least they believed us when they accepted return of the dishwasher. But Whirlpool is not doing the same because CROMA as a seller is being difficult  in the entire matter despite Whirlpool’s technician verifying the defect in the fridge. CROMA is not honouring the original report of the technician on the basis that the report is one month old when the delay in action has been entirely from their end ! 

It is very easy to sell stuff to consumers but the real customer service and professionalism begins after sale of those appliances to ensure that the clients keep coming back to you. 

Problems exist and defects can be there but professionalism lies in how a company handles such challenges to the satisfaction of the customer. In that respect, CROMA fails in satisfying customers and retaining customers. 

Buying from CROMA will only result in buying endless inconvenience and absolute  unpleasantness !

CB2- An elegant store

 Fourth street, Berkeley is a fashionable shopping area. There are lots of high ended shops and boutiques. Amongst them CB2 really stands out as the store is a portrait of elegance. From the moment one steps in this sophisticated shop, one is enveloped in the warmth and sheer elegance of the decor. 

I just love this shop and would highly recommend this shop on the Fourth Street to people who want to have a tasteful decor in their houses. The price may be expensive for some but it is worth having one of their things from their furniture collection. Each piece of furniture stands out because of its original and artistic form. I loved the finish and texture of the wooden items as well as the fabric of the upholstery. I liked their lamps and rugs  too. 

They have a nice collection of black marble candles bowls that are quite fashionable make great gifts to give to people on special occasions . 

The store spells luxury but there are lots of stuff that could be within the reach of your budget too particularly the smaller items. Anyway with things like these , it is certainly worth working towards owning something from their collection. It is certainly worth the wait to own something from CB2!

When I visited the store, there were some great saving offers too on things like cake server sets and stylish cake stands. So you could save to buy something from such a lovely store because it us worth the wait ! Most of all it adds pleasure to living when you are surrounded by such stylish things from CB2 at your home. 

The customer service experience was pleasant. What I liked was that they were open and friendly as well as gave you space to check out the store at your own lace. I for one love to have space when shopping. Another thing that I liked was that they were not minding people sitting on their chairs and sofas outside as long as they liked. That is quite a unique and best way to do live advertising of your store. I think there is this really positive vibe in that store which I would like to bring back to my home in the form of one of their creations. Their collections of things will appeal to every age and household . Their creations are culturally relatable and can be adapted to any home. 

I enjoyed giving a review of this store because it truly was a lovely experience. Insisting this store. I would go back there time and again to be inspired to buy artistic things and elegant furniture. If nothing else, just visiting the store is highly recommended. You may not buy something right away but you will find something to hope to buy in the future.
